He sighed as he sat waiting for her. She was supposed to be ready by now, but apparently, she didn't get the message. Or she was just "too busy" elsewhere.
"I'm almost done," she said as she emerged from the bathing room.
He glanced up at her and knew she wasn't going to be done anytime soon. Her hair was still wet and she had a towel around her. "I doubt you're 'almost done' Korra," he said. "You aren't even dressed."
"I'll be fine."
She started to move away from him, but he blocked her. She frowned and crossed her arms, expecting him to move. He would have said something, but he was a little distracted with a thought that crept up.
"Mako, you can move now. If you don't, I won't be able to get dressed. And if I'm not dressed, then we'll be late. You know I can't be late."
"I know." He removed his red scarf and held it in his hands for a moment. He could hear her sighing and wanting him to move, but he didn't. Instead, he quickly wrapped the scarf around her and held onto her hands. "I'll save you from the rebels."
She arched an eyebrow. "Is that supposed to do something?"
"I don't know." He shrugged. "I heard it worked for someone a long time ago. I thought it was worth a shot."
"Whatever it was, it didn't work. Now let me go so I can finish."
He opened his mouth to say something, but didn't. He meant to tell her, but wasn't sure how she would respond. Or maybe she would think he did it on purpose when he wrapped the scarf around her. He didn't. Not that he minded that it happened, but still… she was the Avatar and would kill him – literally – if she found out he did this on purpose.
Instead, he kissed her. He felt her resist the kiss and then return his kiss. He thought about pulling away from her, but decided against it. He enjoyed kissing her too much. Besides, once he pulled away, he would have to deal with the fact that during his 'I'll save you from the rebels' scarf attempt, her towel dropped. It was not his fault either. But that didn't mean he couldn't enjoy the view.

Korra wanted to be alone. She couldn't meditate because whenever she did Avatar Aang either chided her for not getting airbending soon enough or asked her to tell Tenzin something for him or tried to suggest other ways to try to quell the anti-bender rebellion peacefully. Whenever he said that she wanted to scream at him that if it hadn't worked when he was alive it wouldn't work now.
She was pretty sure Bolin knew that she was in a mood and wanted to be alone. Spirits she'd seen Mako go into a "mood" at times and Bolin would just brush it off as Mako being Mako and it was probably a firebender thing. Bolin joked that you knew when it wa

No Scarf - Makorra
"Take the scarf Korra!" Mako said taking his scarf off giving it to her.
"NO! I'm fi..i..ne!" She sneezed, she wasn't ok, they were so close to Tenzin, and it was getting colder to his home, but she was so stubborn and refused to take the scarf, Bolin wasn't cold at all to their surprise.
"Hey Korra maybe you should take it," Bolin said walking slightly behind.
"Hey Bolin, maybe you should shut up!" She said turning to him.
"Watch it," Mako said.
"Leave me alone!" She said truging through the snow trying to get ahead, she didn't get far.
"Let's just post camp its starting to become a blizzard out here," Bolin said stopping.

Just Not In Public
The first time Mako kissed her in public she thought it was kind of cute. They'd been dating for only a few weeks and really couldn't stop kissing each other so kissing her before she boarded the ferry to Air Temple Island seemed natural. They even blew kisses to each other as the ferry left.
The second time was at Republic City's annual Founder's Day ball. He'd done it twice then: he kissed her forehead and her lips. She wasn't entirely sure she wanted everyone important to see her kissing her boyfriend. Jinora and Ikki singing about how in love the two of them were didn't help the situation.
The third time, well, they both got caught

Okay, um, this wasn't what I thought it was going to be, but it works. Sorta. Little steam involved there.
It would be wicked awesome if someone felt the need to draw this scene. Just saying.
By the way, no idea how old they are. I just know "teenagers" so... erm... let's hope they older.
Also, that scarf has it's benefits. Some good, some not so good. Depends on who you are.
I own the words.
Edit: I love my friends! was so kind to draw a scene from this and I love her for it. Go check it out now please. Thank you. She's a talented artist and a wonderful friend as well.
